“ I live abroad and whenever I make a trip to Malaysia, I have to come here. Everything here is delicious and authentic. My default is their Wantan Mee with Char Siu and their Limau Assam drink. If you want cheap but real Malaysian Chinese food, come here! Heads up though, this place is the most active during lunch. ”
“ I love their duck rice! Unique flavor and addictive. The prices are affordable as well. Come early for dinner to avoid the disappointment as they are usually crowded during the night. ”
“ Typical Malaysia Chinese kopitiam a.k.a. Coffee shop, what differentiate this place from the rest is the bright, pleasant & clean environment. Not to mention the hawker stalls here generally offer really tasty food ranging from prawn noodle, sarawak kolo noodle, Chee Cheong fun, porridge, chicken rice, dedicated toast bread stall, dimsum & bao etc.... Prices are affordable , the standard hawker food price in pj area. The only down side is probably the difficulty to find a parking spot as it's located at PJ state, which is right in the middle Of busy business district, surrounded by banks and offices ”
“ This remains one of my favourite chinese hawker stall center as they are famous for their prawn mee during the day and duck rice during the night. Parking is scarce here but there is an open carpark at the back where you can try your luck. The hawker centre has renovated and upgraded their facilities to include fan mist for a cooler environment which is a god-sent in this weather. Let's start with the daytime prawn mee stall. They've managed to maintain a rich seafood broth that's not diluted and i love how there's a whole egg included inside. The portion is pretty big as well and ask for their sambal for added spiciness to your prawn mee. As for the duck rice during the night, their duck comes stewed with a delicious thick gravy that's perfect to go with your rice. Again the sambal is a must-have here and you can order a few extra dishes such as the preserved vegetables with pork lard, mushrooms stewed with the same duck gravy and boiled eggs which is what i usually order for a complete meal. Prices here are still reasonable as well as you will leave the restaurant feeling satisfied. ”
“ I went to Restaurant Kam Heong with a close friend for our dinner a few months back. Adrian, my close friend recommended this place, claiming that this stall is famous for their duck meat. I was a little hesitant in the beginning to eat duck meat so soon again after my duck meat fiesta during Chinese New Year. What impressed me was that the food was not deep fried or cooked using much oil but instead stewed, giving the food here a bind in flavors. Stewing is clearly a healthier option compared to frying. Our dish of stewed duck meat arrived and I was hit with the whiff of pure goodness. The meat was not tough and didn't have a strong duck taste. You could taste the sauces used as the meat absorbed most of the liquid during the stewing process. Next up was a small serving of stewed salty vegetable with pork lard! Yum Yum. Sadly we were raving about the duck meat, that the fried lard got soaked up with the vegetable gravy but also added a burst of flavors to the dish. What you lose in texture, you gain in flavor! Definitely go to Kam Heong if you're craving for a duck fix. ”
